Neutron Spectroscopy

The spectroscopy group is a group within the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering (LNS), Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), department Condensed Matter Research with Neutrons and Muons (NUM).

We run the following dedicated user instruments at the spallation neutron source SINQ:
- FOCUS Time of Flight spectrometer
- MARS back scattering spectrometer (in test phase)
- RITA II triple axis spectrometer with multianalyzer option

The triple axis spectrometer with polarisation analysis option TASP is operated by the Neutron and magnetism group of Prof. Andrey Zheludev.

We are building the thermal triple axis spectrometer
- EIGER Enhanced Intensity Greater Energy Range
